This seminar will be offered at 4pm and 7pm, each for one and one-half hours at The New Haven Lawn Club in New Haven, Connecticut

Learn the basic estate planning tools, with emphasis on avoiding estate and gift taxes, and maximizing lifetime wealth. We will review the use of wills, trusts and coordination of insurance and retirement assets with your estate plan. The use of living trusts, avoiding probate, and living wills will also be discussed.

After you have a basic estate plan in place, your heirs may still face significant taxes. We will also explore sophisticated estate planning techniques. Topics will include personal residence trusts, generation-skipping planning, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, retirement planning, defective grantor trusts and charitable gift planning. At the time of this website entry, momentous changes in the estate and gift tax have been proposed. This seminar will include a review of potential changes to the law.
