Just When You Thought You Understood CUTPA: The Fundamentals and Recent Landscape Shifts

Wiggin and Dana partner, Robert Langer, is co-presenting an upcoming program, “Just When You Thought You Understood CUTPA: The Fundamentals and Recent Landscape Shifts.” The program is being hosted by the Fairfield County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Committee on October 30. The topics of discussion will include:

A refresher on the fundamentals of CUTPA for those who are new to the claim or who simply would like a review
Soto v. Bushmaster Firearms, LLC and the ways in which it has significantly changed the scope of CUTPA
Examples of claims that would be possible post-Soto, and which were not possible pre-Soto
A brief discussion of other outstanding CUTPA issues, including issues related to CUTPA and the so-called Lodestar test.
