Partner Najia Khalid and Associate Ashley Moore to Present on Immigration and Compliance Law as part of Inaugural Refugee Entrepreneurship Program
On October 4th, Wiggin and Dana Partner and Chair of the firmโs Business Immigration and Compliance Practice,ย Najia Khalid and Associate,ย Ashley Moore, will partner with Schmidt Futures,ย a philanthropy founded by former Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, for a program designed for aspiring refugee entrepreneurs. ย As part of this effort, the inaugural โRefugee Entrepreneurship Programโ will select four refugees and place them for a seven-week immersive accelerator program at Antler. ย Najia and Ashley will discuss U.S. immigration and compliance law considerations for refugee entrepreneurs, hiring talent in the U.S., maintaining work authorization in the U.S. as a refugee, and how immigration law intersects with other regulatory areas.
