Aaron Bayer Quoted in Connecticut Law Tribune
Wiggin and Dana Partner Aaron Bayer was featured in a March 18, 2014 Connecticut Law Tribune article titled, "High Court Reverses $11.4 Million Verdict." The article discusses an appeal that Aaron successfully argued in the Connecticut Supreme Court, challenging a verdict against the Town of Clinton. The verdict was based on a finding that a 911 operator for the Town was negligent for failing to direct the victim of a hit and run accident not to follow the perpetrator's car, which crashed and injured a passenger, who sued the Town. The Supreme Court held that governmental immunity protected the 911 operator and the Town from liability for negligence, reversing the jury's finding that an exception to the immunity doctrine applied.
