ABC News Reports on Wiggin and Dana Win on Van Gogh Case in U.S. Supreme Court
The U.S. Supreme Court today denied Pierre Konowaloff's request to hear his claim to van Gogh's masterpiece The Night Café, leaving in place decisions by two lower courts finding that Yale University's title to the painting cannot be challenged.
Several news outlets reported on the Supreme Court's decision not to hear a further challenge from Konowaloff, including ABC News.
Jonathan M. Freiman, chair of the Appellate and Complex Legal Issues practice group and co-chair of the Art and Museum Law practice group, led the Wiggin and Dana team. He was joined by partner Tahlia Townsend in the district court and by senior associate Benjamin Daniels in the Second Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.
