First Attorney From a Connecticut Law Firm in 88-Year History of New York Intellectual Property Association to Serve as its President

Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Dale L. Carlson was installed as President of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA) for the 2010-2011 term at the Association's annual meeting that was held at the Union League Club of New York on May 18, 2010.

Dale's installment as the NYIPLA's President is the first time in the Association's 88-year history that an attorney from a Connecticut law firm has been given this top leadership position. Dale, a partner at Wiggin and Dana, is chair of the firm's Patent Practice Group. He also serves on the board of the Gateway Community College Foundation, is an adjunct professor of patent law at Quinnipiac University School of Law, and is a member of the Nominating Committee of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association.
