Jeffrey Babbin Quoted in Connecticut Law Tribune Regarding Chief Justice Reappointment

April 17, 2015

Wiggin and Dana Litigation Partner Jeffrey Babbin was quoted in a April 13, 2015 Connecticut Law Tribune article titled, "Chief Justice Reappointment Clears Committee." The article discusses Chase Rogers, who was nominated by Governor Dannel P. Malloy to serve a second eight-year term as Connecticut's chief justice. Her nomination was confirmed unanimously by the Judiciary Committee and moves to the full General Assembly.

Jeff reflected on his experience as an appellate lawyer and commented on Chief Justice Rogers' first term on the Connecticut Supreme Court, stating that "the court functions more smoothly than ever before."

Jeff further remarked, "There is better quality information about the court and its docket available online. The court has also been working through what had been a large backlog of cases, and appeals are now being heard more quickly after the completion of briefing than we've experienced in many years."
