Jonathan Freiman Quoted in Washington Post

March 26, 2014
Wiggin and Dana Partner Jonathan Freiman was quoted in a March 21, 2014 Washington Post article titled, "Man's Claim to Yale's Van Gogh Painting is Tossed." The article discusses the federal lawsuit between Yale University and Pierre Konowaloff over the ownership of "The Night Café," one of Van Gogh's most famous paintings. Konowaloff claimed that he was the heir of a man who owned the painting when it was nationalized by Russia. Jonathan Freiman and Tahlia Townsend, representing Yale, successfully argued that Konowaloff's claims should be dismissed.
