Katie Rubino featured in the Wall Street Journal’s “Venture Interest Slackens in Once-Hot Biotech”

Katie Rubino recently shared her thoughts on the evolving biotech investment landscape with the Wall Street Journal for the article “Venture Interest Slackens in Once-Hot Biotech” which published on July 31, 2025.

In response to the time it takes for large pharmaceutical companies to negotiate and vet biotech partnerships, Katie said, “As a result, there likely won’t be a sizable jump in the number of partnerships that get done—just more deals for top drugmakers to choose from.” “They can’t keep up with reviewing everything that’s coming across their desk.”
