Partners Najia S. Khalid and Toby Bannon Graduated from TerraLex’s Inaugural Leadership Program
Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce Partners Najia S. Khalid and Toby Bannon have graduated from TerraLex’s Inaugural Leadership Program.
TerraLex is one of the world’s leading international legal networks represented in hundreds of jurisdictions by top law firms. With over 20,000 attorneys with representation in over 150 locations, TerraLex members provide the legal resources and expertise needed to conduct business worldwide. Membership is by invitation only and requires a careful review process to ensure members are well recognized and respected in their local jurisdictions as well as internationally. Wiggin and Dana is a founding member of TerraLex and is the member firm in Connecticut.
The firm was asked to nominate two candidates for the leadership program who demonstrated leadership potential, are in the first five years of partnership, and are interested in refining and expanding their leadership skills to participate from January to May and September to November of 2021. The program featured international expert faculty providing substantive introductions to key leadership skills such as strategic thinking and planning, team dynamics, client service, communication styles, personal branding, legal project management, diversity and inclusiveness, and more. It was developed to help participants build rapport quickly and cultivate relationships to raise their profile within TerraLex, foster a greater understanding of the opportunities within the membership network, develop opportunities for referrals, and learn how to make informed strategic decisions as future firm leaders.
Najia is a business immigration lawyer dedicated to helping employers mobilize global talent. An immigrant herself, Najia is the firm’s first attorney focusing entirely on immigration law. She leads Wiggin and Dana’s Business Immigration and Compliance Practice. Najia also serves as Co-Chair of the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Committee, a role through which she works to ensure all firm professionals receive equitable access to meaningful work opportunities and mentorship.
