Robert Hoff Quoted in Bloomberg Law Article on Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Independence
On February 17, 2026, Partner Robert Hoff was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article titled, “US Audit Board Autonomy Under Scrutiny as New Leaders Take Seats.”
Commenting on PCAOB’s independence, Rob notes, “Financial regulators reflect the policies of the current administration—that’s not unique to the PCAOB.” He adds, “I don’t believe that the mere appointment of somebody who spent decades at the Big Four or the appointment of people who previously were affiliated with the administration is an automatic sign that there is a crack in the foundation.”
