Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce the elevation of one new partner and three new counsel, effective January 1, 2024.

“We’re thrilled to elevate this group of talented, creative and experienced attorneys who embody Wiggin’s commitment to client service and firm culture,” said Tim Diemand, Wiggin and Dana’s Managing Partner.

New partner Giuseppe Scaravilli is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department and a co-founder of wiggin(x), a Wiggin and Dana division designed to meet the needs of emerging and high growth companies, investors and founders. His practice focuses on serving as outside general counsel for both early-stage startups and mature companies, as well as private entrepreneurs and investors. Scaravilli also advises on general corporate matters including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, corporate governance, securities law compliance, commercial contracts, and licensing agreements. He studied at LUISS in Rome, Italy, where he earned a single cycle Master’s Degree in Law (laurea in giurisprudenza) and received an LL.M. in international business and trade law from Fordham University School of Law.

“I am deeply honored to be named partner at Wiggin and look forward to furthering the firm’s distinguished legacy in client service,” said Scaravilli. “Wiggin appreciates and fosters diverse and global perspectives, and has enriched my legal journey, which has spanned from Rome to New York.”

Below are the three newly elected counsel.

• Ariela Anhalt is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.  She focuses her practice on appellate and complex civil litigation. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College.

“I am honored and excited that the firm has given me this opportunity to work as counsel in the Litigation Department.  I look forward to continuing to serve our clients in this new capacity alongside my exceptional colleagues at Wiggin,” said Anhalt.

• Brian Sturm advises clients on matters including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing and other commercial transactions. A member of wiggin(x), Brian received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Seton Hall University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University.

“I am thrilled to take the next step in my career at Wiggin, and I look forward to continuing my commitment to our clients in the corporate group. I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited for the challenges ahead,” said Sturm.

• Joshua Taylor is a litigator whose practice encompasses general commercial litigation, as well as malpractice and fiduciary disputes. He holds his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.A. and B.M. from the University of Connecticut.  Active in his community, Josh proudly serves on the Connecticut Bar Association’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and as secretary of its Standing Committee on Professional Ethics. He is also a longstanding board member of two non-profits, Beyond Legal Aid and Chicago Fringe Opera.
