Wiggin and Dana Attorneys Make Benchmark Litigation's "Under 40 Hot List"

New Haven – Wiggin and Dana is proud to announce that litigation partners Jenny Chou, John Doroghazi and Joseph Merschman have been named to the "2016 Under 40 Hot List" by Benchmark Litigation. This inaugural award by Benchmark is presented to accomplished lawyers age 40 and under for their distinguished achievements in the legal profession.

Jenny Chou's practice focuses on white collar defense, government investigations, and complex civil litigation. Specifically, Jenny advises and represents individuals and entities in both state and federal proceedings involving allegations of securities violations, false claims, and other regulatory matters. Additionally, she maintains an active complex civil litigation practice, involving class action, contract, and commercial disputes. Jenny is Co-Chair of the New Haven Committee of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and Co-Chair of the Friends of New Haven Legal Assistance Association. She currently serves on the Merit Selection Panel to review the reappointment of a District of Connecticut Magistrate Judge, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Food Bank.
John Doroghazi's practice focuses on franchise, class action, and other complex commercial litigation. Specifically, John represents franchisors in all types of franchise-related litigation, and he has obtained successful results for franchisor clients in a wide-variety of cases, including class and mass actions brought by franchisees, consumers, and others against notable franchisors. John is the President of the Connecticut Bar Association's Franchise and Dealership Section and a member of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising. John also serves on the Board of Directors of the New Haven Legal Assistance Association.
Joe Merschman's practice focuses on representing companies and individuals in a broad range of business disputes and complex litigation, including derivative and securities litigation and other class actions. Joe is Co-Chair of the Securities Litigation Subcommittee of the American Bar Association's Commercial & Business Litigation Committee. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the New Haven County Bar Association and is a member of the New Haven Inn of Court.
