Wiggin and Dana Awards $3500 Scholarship to Westport Resident

August 19, 2009

The law firm of Wiggin and Dana LLP and the Connecticut Bar Association's Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section have awarded the annual William G. Millman, Jr., Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $3,500 to Westport, Connecticut resident Allison M. Vicenzi.
Allison, currently entering her junior year at the University of Notre Dame, is majoring in Finance and Economics.  Raised in Westport, Allison graduated from Lauralton Hall, Milford, Connecticut and plans to return to Connecticut to practice law.
The scholarship fund was created in memory of Wiggin and Dana's partner William Millman, who, at the age of 42, lost his courageous battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.  Millman was serving as chair of the CBA's Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section at the time of his death.  A 1979 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a 1982 graduate of Georgetown University Law School, Millman became an associate at Wiggin and Dana upon graduation from law school and a partner in 1990.
