Wiggin and Dana Elects New Firm Managing Partner and Executive Committee Members
Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Tim Diemand, an eight-year veteran of its Executive Committee, will be the firmโs new Managing Partner effective October 1, 2021. Diemand succeeds Paul Hughes who has served on Wigginโs Executive Committee for 12 years and as Managing Partner since 2015.
Carolyn Reers and Evan Kipperman will join the Executive Committee as newly elected members. Hughes and Dan Daniels whose terms are ending will transition off the Executive Committee while Rebecca Matthews and James Bicks will continue their terms.

Diemand has made his mark in his law practice by defending and representing clients around the country in high stakes matters such as complex insurance class actions, copyright claims against major record labels and recording artists, professional malpractice defense, and catastrophic injury claims. He is an active member of the legal community, serves as the President of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, and is the past Co-Chair of the CBAโs Professionalism Committee and past Co-Chair of the Federal Practice Section. Diemand has been recognized for his charitable and pro bono work, including being honored by Connecticut Legal Services for his successful representation of a CLS client in a federal court lawsuit.
Kipperman is a Partner in the Corporate Department and Co-chair of its Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Practice Group. He is dedicated to helping growth-stage companies, publicly held middle-market companies, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, private equity firms, and other clients achieve their business goals.
Reers is a Partner in the Private Client Services Department in the Greenwich and New York offices. She has more than 25 years of experience servicing high net worth individuals, their closely held companies and family offices with a focus on international estate and tax planning.
2021 has been a landmark year for Wiggin and Dana in several respects. The firm has grown through the addition of multiple lateral hires and has helped its clients with many significant matters โ from a win in the United States Supreme Court to closing hundreds of financing, M&A and commercial transactions for dozens of corporate clients. The firm also recently welcomed a Director of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity who is spearheading the firmโs IDE DRIVE strategic plan with the end goal of Wiggin and Dana being in the top 33 percent in its law firm peer group for diversity in five years. Additionally, the Wiggin Opportunity Initiative supported more than 100 minority-owned businesses and provided over $1 million in legal services, keeping the firm on track to meet its 10-year $10 million pledge.
