Wiggin and Dana Lawyer Designated as LEED AP

Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Scotia Ryer, an associate in the firm's Real Estate, Environmental and Energy Department has earned accreditation as a Leadership in Energy and Environment Design Professional (LEED AP) from the United States Green Building Council.

The LEED program is a green building certification program developed by the United States Green Building Council to encourage sustainable green building and development practices. Improving the environmental performance of buildings is increasingly important as jurisdictions in Connecticut and across the United States begin to incorporate green building requirements into their statutes, regulations and building codes.

As a LEED AP, Scotia is able to advise clients with respect to green building issues and help clients navigate the rapidly evolving green building regulatory regime. Involved in all areas of the firm's commercial real estate practice, Scotia focuses her practice on sustainable development, green building, affordable housing and land use and zoning matters.
