Wiggin and Dana Partner Appointed to Advisory Committee on Appellate Rules
New Haven – Wiggin and Dana Partner Jeffrey Babbin has been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Appellate Rules by Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers of the Connecticut Supreme Court. The Committee advises the Connecticut state appellate courts on proposed amendments to the rules of appellate procedure. It consists of a Justice from the Connecticut Supreme Court, the Chief Judge of the Connecticut Appellate Court, selected attorneys experienced in appellate advocacy, and representatives from the appellate courts' clerk's office and staff.
Jeff is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department and is a member of the Appellate and Complex Legal Issues Practice Group. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and former co-chair of the Connecticut Bar Association's Appellate Advocacy Section. He has handled over a hundred appeals of trial court and agency decisions before federal and state courts nationally, with particular experience in the Connecticut Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
