Wiggin and Dana To Sponsor Organization Dedicated to Helping Yale Entrepreneurs

April 26, 2010

Wiggin and Dana is pleased to become a Corporate Partner of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute (YEI), which will include lecturing to YEI students, representing new ventures and providing pro bono legal services that will enhance their innovation and entrepreneurship.

YEI is an innovative program, formed to help undergraduate and graduate Yale students start scalable new ventures. YEI's mission is to enhance student innovation by pairing the students with mentors who offer access to specific areas of expertise. YEI exists to help students execute on their actual business plans. It bands together entrepreneurial students, select faculty and administrators with new venture experience, alumni from both industry and venture capital, and local established entrepreneurs. In the last three years, YEI has supported the formation and growth of over 40 student-founded ventures, which have raised over $20 million of outside investment capital.

"We are thrilled to become a corporate partner of YEI," comments Frank Marco, Partner in the firm's Corporate Practice Department, Chair of the Private Equity and Emerging Companies Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm's Clean Technology Practice Group. "We look forward to working with the students involved in YEI and enhancing student entrepreneurship at Yale."
