Wiggin and Dana's Corporate Department Chair Wins Connecticut Law Tribune's Professional Excellence Award

New Haven – Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Bill Perrone, Corporate Department Chair and Co-Chair of the firm's Family Office Practice, has been awarded the Connecticut Law Tribune's 2016 Professional Excellence Award. The award honors attorneys with 30 or more years of experience who have made substantial contributions during their careers to law firms, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporations, law schools and the judiciary, and to the practice of law in general.

Bill is a partner in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions and Technology and Outsourcing Practice Group where he represents clients on complex, strategic corporate transactions involving technology-driven companies, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, outsourcing, cloud computing, software development and distribution, digital media and private equity. He also represents a variety of enterprises at all stages of their development, from emerging technology companies to publicly-traded companies and family offices. Bill has more than thirty-five years of experience counseling investors, buyers and sellers of businesses in a variety of industries as well as representing business owners in corporate divorces.

Bill has lectured at business and professional programs on topics of interest to technology-driven companies including the North American Annual Meeting of the Licensing Executives Society and Connecticut Venture Group, and has written on various legal issues affecting technology companies. He is a member of the board of directors of the Connecticut Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
