Wiggin and Dana's Employment Attorneys Host Semi-Annual Training Program

Wiggin and Dana's Labor, Employment and Benefits Department will be offering a series of Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Seminars in two of the firm's offices.

The firm's employment attorneys provide these seminars on a semi-annual basis to assist employers in meeting the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities' training obligations. The Commission requires that employers with fifty or more employees provide two hours of training and education on the prevention of sexual harassment to all supervisory employees within six months of their assumption of a supervisory position. The Commission also encourages supervisory employees to be re-trained every three years in light of ongoing developments in this ever-changing area of the law.

The seminars will address the operative federal and state statutory provisions, the definition of sexual harassment, conduct that may constitute sexual harassment, available solutions, and practical strategies to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.

The seminars will take place at 9:00 a.m. on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, October 21, 2014 – New Haven Office
  • Wednesday, October 22, 2014 – Stamford Office
