Wiggin and Dana's Partner Elected to NAIOP Board of Directors

–Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Barry Trilling, a partner in the firm's Real Estate, Environmental and Energy Department has been elected to the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, NAIOP's national Board of Directors.

In his role as a member of the NAIOP Board of Directors, Mr. Trilling will, with other Directors, help set policy and direction for this 15,000 member national organization. He will also serve as a member of the Sustainable Development Committee of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Trilling leads the Climate Change and Sustainable Development group at Wiggin and Dana LLP. He is also a member of the Real Estate, Environmental, and Energy Department and both the Clean Tech and Insurance practice groups. Clients call on Mr. Trilling to assist on a wide variety of matters with regard to the environment and "green" business and real estate issues. These include business and real estate transactions, due diligence investigations, site remediation, brownfields development, wetlands, insurance transactions and claims, regulatory compliance counseling, mold and asbestos issues, governmental relations, legislation, rule making, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) matters, and both administrative and judicial litigation. Mr. Trilling's cross-disciplinary experience includes the inter-action of environmental law with affordable housing, borrowing and lending, business formation, corporate disclosure, estates and trusts, industrial operations, innovative technology, insurance, land use, officer/director liability, and tax incentive policy

He received his B.A. from the honors program in English at U.C.L.A., his J.D. from Boalt Hall, the law school of the University of California, Berkeley, and also did post law-school study at the Anderson School of Management at U.C.L.A.
