Wiggin and Dana's Second Annual Week of Giving
Lawyers and staff dedicate week to volunteering at Yale-New Haven Hospital
New Haven - On Monday, November 15 to Friday, November 19, Wiggin and Dana held their second annual Week of Giving, dedicating a week of volunteering and donation drives in all the firm's offices.
This year, the firm worked in collaboration with Yale-New Haven Hospital, dedicating the entire week to volunteering in a variety of the hospital's departments.
"Volunteers are key contributors to the hospital," commented Yale-New Haven Hospital's Director of Volunteer Services, Jeannette Hodge. "We are grateful to all of the Wiggin and Dana employees who volunteered across many different departments. This type of generosity is very much appreciated."
Lawyers and staff members from the New Haven office volunteered in Yale-New Haven's Ambulatory Services Division, Institute for Excellence, Smilow Cancer Hospital Boutique, and Psychiatric Hospital. Employees also volunteered in key areas of the children's hospital, including the Pediatric Primary Care Center, Child Life Playroom, and Pediatric Surgical Center during the week-long volunteering event.
"The Week of Giving is a great example of Wiggin and Dana's tradition of giving back to the community through the generosity and volunteer efforts of our individual lawyers and staff," comments Bob Benjamin, Chair of firm's Executive Committee. "This year was special, because we focused our week-long efforts on one institution, Yale-New Haven Hospital, which has done so much to enhance the quality of life in our region."
This Week of Giving also included donation drives benefitting the hospital in the firm's five offices including New Haven, New York, Stamford, Hartford, and Philadelphia. The donation drives will conclude on December 17.
