Introduction
The White-Collar Defense and Internal Investigations Practice Group counsels clients on criminal, civil and regulatory investigations by federal and state governmental agencies, conducts internal investigations for corporations and other entities, and advises clients on internal compliance program. The practice includes health care fraud and abuse, trade secrets, securities, banking, investment advisor, environmental, government contracting, tax and corporate compliance matters.
The Practice Group is headed by David Fein, a litigation partner, resident in our Stamford and New Haven offices. Mr. Fein served as Associate Counsel to President Clinton. Previously, he was a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, where he served as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division and Counsel to U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White. Since 1997, Mr. Fein has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Connecticut Law School, teaching a class on Investigations. In 1999, he will be a visiting lecturer at Yale Law School.
