AILA CT Chapter Meeting Roundtable Discussion: H-1B CAP Season
Wiggin and Dana Partner Najia Khalid, a business immigration attorney and Founder/Chair of the AILA-Connecticut Chapter’s Business/Corporate Immigration Committee, will speak at the monthly chapter meeting roundtable discussion to address the upcoming fiscal year 2022 H-1B visa season. This will be an important session given the many changes to the H-1B process under the current government administration.
By way of background, H-1B visas are used to employ foreign workers in professional occupations where the role requires at least a Bachelor’s degree education. H-1Bs are one of the commonly sponsored work visas used by U.S. employers who hire foreign workers.
AILA, founded on October 14, 1946, is a voluntary bar association of over 15,000 world-wide attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law. AILA is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that provides continuing legal education, information, professional services, and expertise through its 38 chapters and over 50 national committees.
