Wiggin and Dana attorney, Robert Langer, will be a panelist at the Connecticut Bar Association's upcoming 2019 Connecticut Legal Conference. The event will be held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford June 10, 2019.
The program titled, "Antitrust and CUTPA: General Principles, Hot Topics, and What Makes Connecticut Law Special," will provide an overview of the state’s antitrust act and “Little FTC Act” (CUTPA). It will also explore recent legal developments in these areas, including the framework for antitrust lawsuits under the per se or rule of reason following the US Supreme Court’s landmark decision in 2018 in Ohio v. American Express Co.; the rise of Illinois Brick repealer statutes and the expansion of tools for indirect purchasers; and limitations on class action plaintiffs in the wake of the US Supreme Court’s 2018 decision in ChinaAgritech, Inc. v.Resh.
