The Art of Stewardship and Current Market Trends
On October 28, 2026, Kenley Stark, Counsel in Wiggin and Dana’s Art and Museum Law Practice, spoke on the panel “The Art of Stewardship and Current Market Trends” at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT. The program was part of a private evening, sponsored by Wiggin and Dana, celebrating the opening of the exhibition American Stories from Sargent to O’Keeffe.
Drawing inspiration from the works featured in American Stories, the panel explored the lifecycle of an artwork and the considerations that shape significant collections over time. Speaking from the perspectives of collectors, advisors, and institutions, panelists discussed collecting, stewardship, valuation, philanthropy, and legacy planning.
Kenley was joined by Drew Watson, Head of Art Advisory Services at Bank of America Private Bank, and Courtney Christensen, Senior Director of Trusts and Estates at Winston Artory Group. Together, they offered perspectives from across the art, legal, advisory, and private wealth communities.
