Wiggin and Dana Announces New Managing Partner and Executive Committee Members

New Haven – Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Hughes as the firm's new Managing Partner effective October 1, 2015. He succeeds Bob Benjamin, who has completed a six year term as Managing Partner and Chair of the firm's Executive Committee.

Paul is a corporate attorney based in Wiggin and Dana's New Haven office. He regularly represents clients in the areas of debt and equity financings, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and corporate governance. Paul has been a member of the firm's Executive Committee since 2009 and served as Chair of the firm's Corporate Department from 2009-2012.

"Paul is a strong, energetic and dedicated partner with proven leadership skills," said Bob Benjamin, outgoing Managing Partner of Wiggin and Dana. He has been a key member of the firm's Executive Committee over the past six years, and I am confident that Wiggin and Dana will rise to new levels under his leadership."

Bob will return to full time legal practice in the firm's Private Client Services Department, where he counsels foreign and domestic clients in all matters relating to estate planning, probate litigation as well as the taxation and administration of trusts and estates.

Wiggin and Dana is also pleased to announce the appointments of Joseph Martini and Rebecca Matthews to the firm's Executive Committee. Joe is a partner in Wiggin and Dana's Litigation Department and is chair of the firm's White Collar Defense, Investigations and Corporate Compliance Practice Group. Rebecca Matthews is a partner in Wiggin and Dana's Corporate and Health Care Departments and is co-chair of the firm's Academic Medical Centers, Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group.

Wiggin and Dana has a five person Executive Committee, which consists of four partners and the Managing Partner, voted upon by the partnership.
