Wiggin and Dana Partner Featured in American Bar Association Video Presentation

October 3, 2013

Wiggin and Dana Partner Bob Langer is featured in an American Bar Association video presentation promoting the Janet D. Steiger Fellowship Project. The Project is named in honor and in memory of the late Janet D. Steiger, former Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission.

Bob helped to create the Project and has served as its Chair for the past 10 years. The Fellowship Project provides first and second year law students with the opportunity to intern during the summer in the consumer protection departments of state and territorial Offices of Attorneys General throughout the United States, as well as in other state consumer protection agencies, such as the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, the Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs, and the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Protection.

The eight-week paid Fellowships were initiated in 2004 by the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, in cooperation with the National Association of Attorneys General ("NAAG"), as a consumer protection outreach initiative to introduce law students to the rewards of legal careers in public service. More than 200 students have served as Steiger Fellows, including many who have gone on to careers in public service.

In 2012, Bob received an award from the ABA Section of Antitrust Law for his "dedication" to the Project and his "unwavering" contributions to the Section of Antitrust Law.
