Wiggin and Dana Partner Receives Award from ABA Antitrust Section to Commemorate Service
Hartford – Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce Robert M. Langer, Partner and Chair of the firm's Antitrust and Consumer Protection Practice Group was presented with a special award by Richard Steuer, the current Chair of the ABA's Section of Antitrust Law commemorating his many years of dedicated service to the Section. The award was presented at the ABA Antitrust Section's Spring Meeting held in DC in March.
The award was given to Mr. Langer in honor of his dedication to the Janet D. Steiger Fellowship and unwavering contributions to the ABA Section of Antitrust Law. His other contributions to the Section include Finance Officer, Chair of the Consumer Protection Committee, Chair of the State Antitrust Enforcement Committee and authoring and co-authoring numerous Section publications. Mr. Langer continues to chair the fellowship he helped to create 8 years ago.
The Janet D. Steiger Fellowship Project facilitates the placement of first and second year law students for a minimum of eight weeks in the consumer protection departments of the offices of state and territorial attorneys general, and in other state consumer protection agencies. States are permitted to utilize Steiger Fellows for antitrust matters for a portion of the internship as well. The Fellowship Project is named in memory and in honor of the late Janet D. Steiger, former Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission.
