Robyn is a Partner in Wiggin and Danaโ€™s Litigation Department. Her nationwide practice focuses on complex commercial cases, aviation matters, and insurance coverage disputes. She has experience litigating in state and federal courts and before various government agencies and arbitral bodies.

Robynโ€™s understanding of business financials is an asset to clients. As a former CPA, her accounting background provides a unique perspective on issues central to many litigations and makes her ideally situated to address complex commercial damages calculations, including those pertaining to lost profits. For example, during a recent trial, she successfully moved to preclude the opposing partyโ€™s expert damages opinion prior to trial. In a recent ERISA class action case, Robyn successfully argued that a damages expert should not be permitted to rehabilitate his opinion during trial by fundamentally altering his methodology in a way that would increase damages up to $50 million. Robyn also regularly assists corporate clients with post-closing disputes that call for the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (โ€œGAAPโ€).

Additionally, Robyn defends aviation manufacturers and servicers in product liability and negligence actions nationwide. Robyn works closely with both technical and damages experts in formulating a comprehensive defense.

Robyn also has experience representing insurance companies in connection with complex insurance and reinsurance matters. She regularly provides coverage advice involving various types of insurance policies, including commercial general liability, automobile, and homeownerโ€™s policies. Recently, Robyn served as national coordinating counsel for COVID-19 business interruption suits.

Robyn received her J.D. summa cum laude from Western New England College School of Law where she graduated first in her class and was the Senior Articles Editor for the Western New England Law Review. Robyn received her M.S. in Accounting and her B.S. in Business Administration magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut.

Robyn served as a law clerk for Chief Judge Alvin W. Thompson in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
